Creating visual resumes captures a student’s true passions, interests and desires as they relate to their post-secondary goals for education & training, employment and independent living and allows potential employers to see them in action; significantly increasing their chances for employment opportunities. Creating visual resumes also engages the student in the job seeking process in a fun and productive way.

SA and SD: During this professional development training, participants will explore a self-advocacy curriculum that assists students in becoming self-advocates and discovering their potential. This curriculum will cover the following topic areas around self-advocacy: -Importance of self-advocacy and how to become a self-advocate -How to understand disabilities and identify the accommodations needed -Employment options and how to advocate for them -Understanding of disability law -How to disclose a disability -Educator on-line resources.
