Description

This training provides an overview on Indicator 13 requirements and use of the Post Secondary Transition Plan (PTP) application for emerging special education teachers. The training also discusses effective practices to create a Postsecondary Transition Plan that exceeds minimal compliance and drives attainment of postsecondary goals. Resources such as Self Directed Tools, Opening Doors series, Transition Assessments, and various transition websites and an overview of the Transition Improvement Grant website will be provided. NOTE: Participants will have the opportunity to create a Post Secondary Transition Plan (PTP) based upon individual student case studies provided by the RITE Instructor and/or TIG Presenter.
