Richland County Community on Transition

Mission: The purpose of this County Community on Transition is to promote successful transition of students with disabilities from school districts in Richland County to live, work and successfully participate in post school activities. These activities include post-secondary education, community participation, vocational training, independent living, continuing and adult education, employment and adult agencies. This Transition Resource Directory can be used as a resource/tool by school districts in Lafayette County enabling them to meet the current mandates of IDEA. Parents and students will also find this Transition Resource Directory useful when seeking access of services in the county. Agency programs listed describe the services provided in Richland County, identify contact person for services and provide eligibility criteria for each program. This directory is updated monthly through collaboration meetings between school districts, state, county and community agencies.
